The Attendance Initiative is reported by the 12th class day in the long semesters, fall and spring. The Attendance Initiative is not conducted during the summer semesters.The Attendance Initiative is a mandated report, submitted through SamWeb. To access SamWeb, click the following link: SamWeb
After logging in, click the "Faculty Reports" tab on the menu located on the left side of your screen. From that drop down, click "Attendance Initiative". A list of your class(es) will appear. Go into each class and view the class roster. Place a check mark next to the name of a student ONLY IF THEY HAVEN’T ATTENDED CLASS. (If you were to check everyone that attended then it would be reported that NO students attended your class.) The SHSU student attendance is reported to the State of Texas.
