King Cotton?Carding, Cleaning, Spinning and Weaving Cotton

a Sam Houston Memorial Museum presentation and demonstration, from 9 a.m. to noon at the museum grounds. Museum staff will explore the time when cotton was king in Texas by teaching museum visitors all about growing and processing the plant. The demonstration will include picking cotton bolls and then cleaning, carding, and spinning and weaving them. All ages are welcome at the event. A $5 recommended donation per person.
