Making the Big Tent - Cotton on Sam Houston's Farm
"Making the Big Tent - Cotton on Sam Houston's Farm:" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bear Bend Cabin, on the Sam Houston Memorial Museum grounds. Attendees can learn about the fiber that makes the big tent as costumed museum staff help children and adults explore cotton with hands on activities, including touching real cotton bolls, carding them, spinning them, weaving them, and taking some seeds home to plant.
