Be the Match

Volunteers from the ?Be the Match? Program will be on campus Tuesday and Wednesday, November 13 and 14, to register potential donors for the Marrow Donor Program. They will be located in the LSC Mall and the flag pole area near the Johnson Coliseum from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. The donor screening process is simple and requires the completion of a health questionnaire and a swab of the lining of the cheek. Donors will be placed in a registry to determine if they are a suitable ?match? for an individual facing a medical situation where a marrow transplant is recommended. This lifesaving program is facilitated by the Gulf Coast Marrow Donor Program and has been on the SHSU campus for several years.
