Campaign Leadership Eleanor Smith Garrett

Eleanor Smith Garrett graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 1954 from Sam Houston State University, followed by a Master of Education degree. In 1964, Eleanor and her husband Charles founded Garrett Electronics in Garland, Texas to manufacture metal detectors. Their company is now recognized as a global leader in the research, development and manufacture of hobby and security-related metal detection products and accessories. Eleanor is a Life member of the Alumni Association.
