REGISTRATION FOR CAMP@SAM 2024 Will OPEN IN MAY!

Camp@SAM is a program designed for high school juniors (class of 2025) to explore SHSU, learn about the college application process, and what to expect as they begin college.

Parents/Guardians may also expect to have the option to join us during drop off and pick up to visit with staff, ask questions, and get university information about helping their student during the college application and transition processes.

SHSU Criminal Justice Camps  VISIT CAMP WEBSITE

If you have dreams of a career in criminal justice, come get a glimpse of the real deal in a four day in person summer camp. Campers will have an opportunity to speak to professionals in the criminal justice field. They will also engage in activities that will give them hands-on experience, such as investigating a mock crime scene, and opportunities to speak directly to experienced professionals.

Bearkat STEM Summer Camp  VISIT CAMP WEBSITE

The Department of Engineering Technology will offer two camps at the same time June 10-14, 2024. One camp will be focused on Automation and Robotics and the other camp will be focused on Construction and Safety. These camps will be funded by a Texas Workforce Commission grant, and there will not be a charge to students who attend. However, there is an application and selection process. High school students are encouraged to apply, and the department will update the website as the application closes and applications are evaluated. The application link is coming soon and will be ready in the next two weeks. The handbook will also be updated.

College of Health Sciences Camp  VISIT CAMP WEBSITE

The College of Health Sciences at SHSU is pleased to offer it's Health Sciences Summer Camp, a 3-day educational camp for junior and senior high school students interested in health sciences and related fields. Participants will enjoy hands-on and engaging learning experiences, interact with professionals from a variety of disciplines, and spend time with SHSU students. The camp is designed to expose students to a diverse set of professions throughout the health sciences and related fields.
