Houston Zoo ‘Spotlight’ On Bearkats
SHSU is teaming up with the Houston Zoo to host “Bearkat Spotlight on Species” at the Houston Zoo on Saturday, May 9 from 9 am to 2 pm. Sammy the Bearkat will visit with guests at 10:30 am inside Natural Encounters, where he will be available to take photos with fans. Guests who wear SHSU gear receive a $5 discount on general zoo admission from 9 am to noon and can learn about binturongs (commonly known as bearcats), meet Hannah the binturong, and find out what we can do to save them and their habitats in the wild.
