Patient RoomAbout Your Charges

Although office visits are free in the Student Health Center at Sam Houston State University, charges may still appear on your MySam account after your visit. These charges are incurred because a patient filled a prescription at the pharmacy, required laboratory testing, had a procedure, or due to an injury needed medical supplies. Transactions from the Student Health Center are posted to the student's MySam account within 24 hours. Currently, no co-pays are required at the time of service.

Payment of Charges

At this time, the Student Health Center does not accept payment at the time of your visit. Students can pay at the Bursar's Office on the SHSU campus or online on their MySam account. If the student has other tuition charges on their account, they will need to specify that the money is to go to the Student Health Center. Otherwise, the payment will go toward tuition fees.

Student Health Insurance
