ApplyThe Student Money Management Center provides financial literacy outreach to Sam Houston State University students in the form of personal consultations, workshops, and classroom presentations on a number of financial literacy topics, including but not limited to:
- Budgeting
- Smart Shopping & Couponing
- Preventing Identity Theft
- Saving Money
- Setting Financial Goals
- Establishing and Maintaining Credit
Financial Literacy Week is an annual week-long event hosted by the SMMC. The SMMC also provides many valuable resources, including Kat Cents, which students can utilize to learn to take control of their finances.
The SMMC does NOT provide the following:
- Investment Advice
- Referrals to specific financial institutions
- Loans
- Tax Advice
