What can I do there?
- Merit Badge Day will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015.
- Troops who participate in Merit Badge Day can also choose to spend the weekend at Huntsville State Park which has campsites and shelters that can meet any needs.
How much does Scouts@SAM cost? What do I get for that fee?
Registration for Merit Badge Day is $35 per Scout. This includes:
- continental breakfast
- merit badge classes
- all-you-can-eat lunch at Old Main Market (off-campus courses will receive a box lunch)
- commemorative patch
What merit badges are available?
Our Half day classes will consist of 2 sessions, a morning session before lunch and an afternoon session.
Do any of the classes have prerequisites? Is there any additional information about the merit badge class(es) I want to take?
Prerequisite and other course information will be posted as they are announced by the instructors. Check back frequently for updates.

Is adult training available?
Yes, we will be offering a leadership program for any adults that would like to participate. More details to come.
Do the classes last all day?
Scouts@Sam emphasizes quality of instruction, so most classes do last all day.
What are the hours for the merit badge day?
7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
When can I register for merit badge classes?
Online registrationis now open.
Can I register and pay for classes at the event?
We cannot accept walk-in registrations. All Scouts must register HERE and pay for their class(es) online during March.
Can individual Scouts register?
Absolutely. If your troop can’t come, you’re still welcome.
How will I know what merit badge requirements my Scout completed?
Blue Cards will be provided for each scout and will be given to them during the closing ceremony.
