NOTICE: Jackson-Shaver Hall will be CLOSED for the 2023-2024 Academic Year for Renovations

Jackson-Shaver Hall will be closed for the 2023-2024 Academic Year for an extensive $4.5M renovation to replace cast-iron piping, interior building paint, and to replace hallway/public area carpets. Jackson-Shaver will reopen Fall 2024 with single occupancy rooms only.

Jackson-Shaver Hall is a co-ed residence hall located on the west side of campus and is close to Old Main Market, Sam Houston Memorial Museum and is just a short walk to the heart of campus.

Residents are housed in suite style living quarters, with individually climate controlled rooms. Students are encouraged to promote their personal styles via the tack board walls that allow them to hang pictures and posters. Jackson-Shaver Hall offers more than the standard double room. Premium double (larger) and disabled access rooms are also available.
