Equipment Rental Test

The Sam Houston State University Outdoor Recreation program can assist in outfitting you for your own adventures. We offer a wide variety of personal and group equipment at very reasonable rates. If you are interested in reserving or renting equipment through the Outdoor Recreation program, please contact us or stop by the Recreational Sports facility.

Equipment for Rent
Rental Policies
  • Students, Faculty, and Staff may check out equipment. Non-University affiliates must have approval before renting equipment.
  • A late charge will be assessed on upon return if equipment is brought in past due date. ($5 fee per day / per item)
  • Equipment must be clean and dry before being returned. ($5.00 fee per item)
  • Daily rates are from the time of checkout until closing on the following day. (6:00pm)
  • Weekend rates are for 3 days. For example check out on Friday and return on Monday.
  • Week rates are for 7 days.
  • Reservations must be made at the Climbing Center desk, and must be paid in full at time of reservation to guarantee equipment.
  • Renters are responsible for any damage to rented items, up to the full replacement value of the item.
  • Please allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of refunds.
  • SHSU assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries resulting from the use of SHSU equipment.
