Johnson Coliseum
The Coliseum is home to SHSU Volleyball, Men's Basketball, and Ladykat Basketball.The Coliseum was completed in 1976 and originally called University Coliseum. The name was later changed to the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum, in honor of long time Board of Regents member, Bernard G. Johnson of Houston. The Coliseum hosts a variety of recreational sports activities, University calendar events including graduation, concerts, campus organization events, summer camps, family shows and special events. The building hosts approximately 80 events each year, covering 250 days.
