Parking Area Waitlists

Waitlists are created for certain garage and surface lot ePermits in high-demand areas. Because of the high demand, the number of available ePermits is limited. Eligible faculty, staff, and students may join a waitlist for the ePermit they would like to purchase via their parking account.

To join a waitlist, click on,  NuPark_1 , in the upper right corner of the Web page, log in to your account, and select Manage Waitlist under the Permits tab.

IMPORTANT:  If you intend on parking on campus and have not received your waitlist award letter, please use a pay by hour option, or purchase a daily ePermit and park in a general Zone 2 or Zone 3 parking area.

The following area(s) are currently controlled by waitlist:

Sam Houston Parking Garage

Zone 1 East

Zone 1 West

Joining a Waitlist

If you choose to add your name, it is important to make sure all of your principal contact information is correct in Banner.  After confirming all contact information and the vehicle registered to your parking account, your name will be added to the list and sorted in priority based on the current ePermit waitlist policy and time and date that the submission was finalized.  Persons that have a current ePermit for the waitlist in question  have the first opportunity to renew their ePermit for the next term prior to our staff using the waitlist to fill available vacancies.

Contact for Purchase of an Available Space

Our office will contact you by sending an electronic notification letter to your official SHSU e-mail address.  You have 5 calendar days to make your purchase or contact our office to finalize the purchase of an available space.  Failure to contact our office within this time frame will lead to your name being removed from the list and the opportunity to purchase the ePermit in question offered at that time.

If you do not receive an award letter, please use a pay by hour, daily ePermit or purchase a general Zone 2, Zone 3, or Overflow ePermit when parking on campus.

Removal from a Waitist List

If you choose to remove your name from an available waitlist, you will lose your priority space in the current list.  You may rejoin the list but will be placed in the list by the date and time that you finalized your submission.

Log into your Parking Portal account to view and manage your available waitlists.
