Parking ePermits are required at all times for all surface lot and street parking on campus, unless marked as Pay By Hour. ePermits are available for semester and annual parking.
Parking and Transportation utilizes license plate recognition technology that captures and reads a vehicle license plate to confirm that the vehicle is registered and has permission to park on campus. You will not receive a physical hangtag or decal. Vehicle license plates must be unobstructed, affixed to the bumper, and displayed in view from the driving aisle of a parking space.

Pricing & Access Overview
This payment option is exclusive to SHSU faculty, staff, and students who elect to have the total parking fee transferred to their MySam account managed by the Bursar's Office. Once this payment option is selected, it can take up to 24 hours for the fee to transfer to the respective MySam account. Please keep in mind that while our office identifies this as a form of payment, an outstanding balance will remain on a MySam account and is expected to be paid within all time frames identified by the Bursar's Office related to fees and charges.
This payment option is available to all customers for payment of short-term parking, identified as event parking, and pay by hour parking. Web Credit Card Payments are available via the ParkMobile App available on Apple iOS and Android for short-term parking.
The university reserves the right to require proof of ownership of the vehicle being registered. In the case that you don't own the vehicle, you may need to request approval from the Deputy Chief/Associate Director of Support Services.
