2016 Greater Houston Partnership Annual Meeting

Congratulations December Graduates!

Welcome to Sam Houston State University!

President Dana G. HoytI am truly honored to be the President of Sam Houston State University. Our University is entering its 136th year of service, so we have a long and well-established history of providing premier higher education in the state of Texas.

Sam Houston State University offers a wide range of high quality undergraduate, masters level and doctorate programs that can fit the need of virtually any student.

To better support the academic mission and the social life of students on our campus we have completed, or have under way almost $300 million in campus construction. The newest buildings on campus are the Old Main Market fresh foods dining facility and the Lone Star Hall, our newest residence hall. Additionally our University Camp, a 345 acre recreational area located just north of Huntsville was completed spring 2014.

I encourage you to visit Sam Houston State University by scheduling a campus tour through the Visitor Center.
