Center for Business Research and Economic Development

The Gibson D. Lewis Center for Business and Economic Development provides support services to existing and potential businesses, economic development agencies, and local governments in the region served by Sam Houston State University. These services include collecting and publishing economic and demographic data; editing and publishing the Journal of Business Strategies; publishing the faculty Working Paper Series; sponsoring workshops and seminars, and providing consulting services.

College of Business Administration faculty, Center staff, and students working under faculty guidance and supervision conduct center activities. These activities give students experience beyond the classroom and create an opportunity for the professional and technical capabilities within in the university to be made available to the larger community.
