Faculty & Staff Computers
The Computer Replacement Program's goal is to replace computers every four years. IT@Sam will notify you when it is time for replacement. You can check the status of your replacement by using the following site. Faculty and staff may place a work order in our Cherwell Self-Service Portal if they see that they are due for replacement during the current fiscal year and have not been notified by IT@Sam yet.
When your current machine is replaced, it will be returned to IT@Sam.
Subject to availability, IT@Sam may have recycled computers that can be used by departments. These computers may be used for student workers, contract employees and special events. Recycled computers are older and will therefore be re-evaluated for appropriate business use annually.
Lab & Classroom Equipment
The goal is to update lab and classroom equipment every four years. IT@Sam will not leave a computer that is inadequate for academic use in these locations. If you believe that you have located a computer that is inadequate, please report this to the Service Desk or email the the location of the equipment to the Computer Asset Managment team.
