Global Ambassadors Program

About the Program

The Office of International Programs is sponsoring the Global Ambassadors Program (GAP) where domestic students are paired with international students to share cultural perspectives and ease international students’ transition into their lives here at Sam Houston State University. The Global Ambassadors Program will host several social events over the year to give students additional opportunities to interact and develop lasting friendships.

You can join at any time. Turn in the application ("Apply Here" button below) to Cassie Cure or Justin Ball (GAP advisors) in the Office of International Programs (Farrington 116)!

Fall 2015

International Student Orientation 

Drop by International Student Orientation to welcome the new international students and talk about GAP! Have lunch with them at Old Main Market.

International Student Welcome Party (Thursday, 9/3, 5-8pm @ LSC Kat Klub)

Drop by to have snacks with your buddy and get to know fellow International and Domestic Students.  Come Enjoy a variety of Food and meet other students. 

Coffee Meet and Greet (Friday, 9/25, 3-4pm @ NGL Starbucks)

Stop by a enjoy some refreshing Starbucks coffee and get to know fellow GAP members.

Ice Cream Social (Friday, 10/23, 3-4 @ AB3 room 209

Stop by for some great ice cream and socialize with fellow GAPers!!!!
