Study Abroad in Italy!

Art in Italy and France

Program Overview

The trip offers students the opportunity to earn up to 6 hours of Art History or Art Studio credit. Students will spend 10 days in Italy and France experiencing artworks in the context of 21st century European culture. We will visit major art museum collections and experience each city's culture through historic landmarks and architecture. Students will document their experiences in journals, sketchbooks and photography to be used as source material for research papers and art projects.

The trip will provide students with experiences that will broaden their understanding of cultures other than their own.  Students studying the development of European art history will be able to view artworks in their cultural context.
