Below is a list of data publications, including pivot tables, reports and institutionally standardized longitudinal studies.
(1) Data used in reports and studies are not limited to enrollment and graduation data in certified Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Report submissions.
(2) Some SHSU reports and studies use data reflecting early-semester, or end-of-semester headcounts and semester credit hour counts rather than certified census day data.
(3) Data used in reports and studies produced prior to FY 2007 (Fall 2006 through Summer 2007) were not institutionally standardized.
The data enclosed within this Fact Book is intended to provide information to the public concerning SHSU student enrollment. The source of the data is certified state reports submitted by SHSU Office of Institutional Effectiveness to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) for fall terms.
Census Date - The official day of record that public higher education institutions must determine
the enrollments that qualify to be reported to the Coordinating Board for state reimbursement.
Also referred to as Official Reporting Date (ORD). For fall and spring semesters, it is the 12th
class day. For summer semesters, it is the 4th class day. The count of class days begins on the
first day that classes are held in the term and includes each calendar day on which classes are
normally held at the institution (e.g., Monday through Friday) until the official census date is
reached. The official census day must be on a day that the Registrar’s office is scheduled to be
open so that a student will be able to drop or withdraw from class.
