The Honors Freshman Learning Community is designed for first year students who are members of the Honors College. As members of this community, students engage in the Honors culture of achievement and service and take Honors courses each semester.

Living in the Honors FLC

Students in this learning community reside in Piney Woods Hall on the 6th floor, this community has a capacity of 25 students.

Applying to the Honors FLC

What are the requirements for admission into the Honors FLC?

In order to participate in the Honors FLC program, students must be accepted to SHSU and the Honors College, have a completed Housing Application, be already accepted into the Honors College, have a $200 deposit on file.
