Financial Aid & Scholarships

Fall Aid Disbursement

Financial aid for Fall BEGINS applying to student accounts the week of August 15th. Continue to check your Self Service Banner for any outstanding requirements. All required documents MUST be submitted at the same time. Failure to do so will result in paperwork not being reviewed or processed. Instructions on how to ACCEPT your aid may be found on the Financial Aid webpage.    It may take several days to receive your FULL aid package. Refunds for aid, in EXCESS of University charges, will be sent to Higher One approximately FOUR business days AFTER aid is disbursed. All disbursements will be viewable on YOUR student account.

Financial aid requirements are displayed in My Sam under the My Account tab.  When you see a red flag, click the Financial Aid Status link, just below the "Choose Another Year" drop down box.  Additional information regarding the red flag will be provided there.

IMPORTANT Federal Updates

*NEW* as of 5/10/15 - The FSA ID - a username and password - has replaced the Federal Student Aid PIN and must be used to log in to certain U.S. Department of Education websites.  For details and instructions on how to create your FSA ID click here.

The FAFSA encourages students and their parents to import tax information from the IRS. The IRS Data Retrieval saves time and reduces the probability of being chosen for verification. Those who do not elect to utilize the automatic retrieval will more likely be selected for verification. For Eligibility, Advantages and additional information, read on...
