Facilities - News Channel

  • Facilities Management would like to welcome Melissa Ellis and Megan Foley. Melissa will be working in Campus Energy Managment and Megan will be working in Facilities Space Management. Welcome to the Facilities Management team!

  • Attention Bearkat Faculty and Staff! Facilities Management is in the process of launching a new version of Famis, Famis Cloud. Our target launch date is December 15, 2014; keep your eyes open for a new and improved service request and work order system. Stay tuned for more details!

  • Key Returns - An important reminder that each employee has the responsibility to return their issued building keys on or before their separation date.  Keys not returned may be billed to the individual's university account and become an outstanding debt.

  • Does Your Project Need an Architect or Engineer? – Many offices are surprised to know that an Architect or Engineer is needed on their project.  As an agency of the State of Texas we must use licensed architects and engineers according to statutes of the State of Texas.  See more at:  A&E Project Requirements

  • SHSU Grounds Maintenance Receives 2014 PGMS Honor Award – Congratulations to Scott Dolezal, Custodial and Grounds Manager, and his entire Grounds Crew, as the winner of a 2014 Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) Green Star Honor award for 2014.  Scott will travel to Louisville, Kentucky in October to receive this award at the annual PGMS Banquet and Awards Presentation.  Scott's team also received an Honor Award in 2011.
