Sign up for the SAT/ACT

Make sure you have a social security card

Volunteer in your community

Research possible careers you may be interested in

Get a part-time job, or shadow a profession that interests you

Start or update an academic resume

[ ]

Visit colleges, prepare a list of questions to ask, and talk with college students

Spring

Meet with your counselor to review graduation requirements

[ ]

Retake the SAT/ACT to improve your score

[ ]

Continue to stay involved in extracurricular activities

[ ]

If a recommendation letter is needed for admittance, begin thinking about who knows you well enough to write a positive letter on your behalf. (Teacher, Coach, Church Leader, etc.)
