On behalf of all Panhellenic Sorority women at Sam Houston State University, I want to congratulate you on your first step to becoming a part of our Greek community, as well as a Panhellenic woman. Being a member of the Greek community at SHSU has given me many opportunities to become a leader, get involved with the Huntsville community, cultivate relationships between fellow Greeks, faculty and staff, as well as SHSU administration. Here at Sam Houston there are five sorority chapters which include, Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Panhellenic emphasizes the importance of academic excellence, community outreach, leadership, and sisterhood. The SHSU Panhellenic Association prides itself on our achievements as well as the personal development of our Panhellenic members.
- Panhellenic GPA is typically 3.0 or higher and above the SHSU campus average
- Panhellenic has raised over $35,471 for philanthropic organizations and has contributed over 5,596 hours of community service
- 78% of Panhellenic women are involved in organizations outside of their sorority, many of which hold officer positions
We hope that you each will contribute to the success of our organization. I look forward to meeting you at Orientation, any Greek life sponsored event, or during the week of recruitment. For more information about joining a sorority, please email SHSUpanhellenic@gmail.com.
