Six Weeks of Alcohol Awareness Training
Following one of the “Best Practices” identified by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the ADAI offers students the opportunity to attend comprehensive alcohol education presentations provided throughout the fall and spring semesters. The NIAAA practice states that student drinking is significantly reduced if they participate in ongoing educational programs that send clear and consistent messages about alcohol use.
How S.W.A.A.T. Works
Students attend the “training” session and maintain a training card for each session they attended. They receive prizes starting with pens and pencils and ending with backpacks and t-shirts when they completed at least six sessions of training.
Students are invited to attend any session that interests them. You do not have to attend the first session to participate. Just join us anytime!
