The goal of the SHSU Alcohol and Drug Abuse Initiative’s “Alcohol & Drug Summit” is to proactively educate SHSU students about risky alcohol and drug use. This year’s focus emphasizes raising alcohol and drug awareness while strengthening healthy attitudes and ultimately achieving positive behaviors. The summit is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Check back for further updates and schedules.
Faculty wishing to send their classes to an ADAI activity or assist with the event may contact Eddie Gisemba at emg020@shsu.edu. Attendance rosters will be sent electronically to requesting faculty. Students attending any ADAI event can post them on their co-curricular transcripts available through the Dean of Students’ Office. Schedules for ADAI programs are available on line at shsu.edu/adai. For additional information regarding the Summit, volunteer opportunities, alcohol and drug programming, or the ADAI, contact Eddie Gisemba at (936) 294-2228.
