Promotions in Rank and Merit Advances in Salary within Rank
The academic rank system serves as a guide for the placement of newly appointed faculty personnel and to provide for the annual promotion and salary merit advances within rank. Promotions and salary advances in rank are awarded on the basis of merit except on those occasions when the legislature mandates periodic salary adjustments for all faculty.
