Purpose: Assists with the resolution of student grievances in the manner prescribed in the code of student conduct.

Appointments. The President makes all appointments and designates a permanent Chair; the University Faculty Senate nominates twelve full-time faculty-the President selects six members to serve on the committee as regular members and six to serve as alternates (terms to be alternating two-year terms with three regular members going off each year); the Student Government Association also submits twelve nominees-the President appoints six regular members to the committee and six alternates to serve one-year terms expiring at the end of the academic year; two administrative staff members are appointed by the President with alternating two-year terms.
