APPLICATION DEADLINE: APRIL 01, 2009
The May 2009 trip to Italy is a Criminal Justice Study abroad that will explore the Roman roots of our criminal justice system. Specifically it will look at the early origins of the common law, crimes and punishment, as well as police, courts, and corrections. This is not an exploration of the modern criminal justice system, but rather a modern day exploration of Rome’s history of crime and justice.
Italy 2009 will also include visits to some of the most famous sites in Italy and will include the experience of traditional Italian meals. It should be noted that while we will take numerous trains and buses, there will be a lot of walking and stair climbing in Italy.
Pre-trip meetings (TBA)
The plan is to have several meetings which will include:
- Small-group activities
