"Energy Resources and Natural Environments Survey of Texans: An Illustrative Summary" (Theodori and Lyke-Ho-Gland 2008)

Abstract

This document provides an illustrative summary of the results obtained from a 2008 general population survey of individuals in Texas. The purpose of this document is to provide insights into public perception of the energy industry and its associated issues (e.g., drilling on ecologically sensitive lands, acceptance of environmentally friendly drilling technology, desalination and use of produced water, etc.) in Texas. Moreover, attitudes and behaviors of the citizens of Texas, as well as information on selected individual-level characteristics are presented. Figures and tables are used to simplify presentation of the data. No conclusions or inferences are made.
