The Miss Sam Houston Pageant is an event for scholarly and influential female students on the SHSU campus. It serves to acknowledge leaders on the Sam Houston campus and in the Huntsville community. Miss Sam Houston acts as a role model for all and a representative and spokesperson of SHSU. She upholds the highest ideals, vision, and motto of the university and the Texas State University System.
