About Me


I am an Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education and ESL at the Department of Language, Literacy and Special Populations at Sam Houston State University. My research interests include computer assisted language learning, second language assessment, language teacher education, and second language acquisition. In addition, I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in language assessment, action research, second language literacy and statistics.

In addition to my current position at Sam Houston State University, I serve as the Co-Editor of the Nonnative English Speakers in TESOL (NNEST) Interest Section Newsletter at TESOL International Association. I am an active member in TESOL and AAAL. My publications have appeared in high-profile venues like Language Teaching Research, Teaching and Teacher Education, CALICO, and TESL-EJ, among others.
