Sarah Browning

Skype ID: SHSU_NorthHouston

Sarah is a lifelong Bearkat, having grown up in Huntsville since the age of two. She first graduated from SHSU in 2010 with her BS in Psychology and then again in 2014 with her MA in Kinesiology – Sport and Human Performance. During her tenure on campus, she has held two student worker positions, three research positions, and two full-time staff positions. Sarah was a part of the first female Ultimate Frisbee team and was otherwise involved in intramural sports, academic organizations, and undergraduate and graduate research. While Huntsville may have always been home, Sam Houston State University has always been her first choice because of its culture, campus, and focus on service. For these reasons, she may very well never leave and is honored to be able to welcome new students to the SHSU family.

Meet Victoria White! Born and raised in small town Livingston, TX, Victoria appreciates the sense of community that is found here at Sam Houston. Approaching her 2005 graduation from Livingston High School, Victoria only applied for one school – Sam Houston State University…because her family bleeds orange pride! Following in the footsteps of both her parents, four aunts, one uncle and her older sister, Victoria knew that her time at Sam Houston would produce both a quality education as well as real world skills and life-long friendships. Victoria quickly got involved in student organizations such as Soul Lifters Gospel Choir, NAACP and the Black Student Alliance. Upon graduating from Sam with her Bachelors in Mass Communications and Public Relations, Victoria worked in the non-profit sector for 6 years as a victims’ rights advocate. In June of this year she transitioned into her role here at Sam Houston as an admissions counselor and is super excited to spread some Bearkat spirit across the state of Texas! Eat `Em Up!
