Description
Blackboard allows faculty and students to communicate through a variety of mediums. Post messages with attachments back and forth via an asynchronous Discussion Board. Send files back and forth directly to all or individual students via the Digital Drop Box. Have a real time "live chat" with your students with Blackboard's Collaboration tools and send e-mail to all/some or just one of your students.
Who is it for?
This course is for Sam Houston State University faculty and graduate assistants who are teaching classroom based, hybrid, or fully-online courses. Sam Houston State University staff and students can also take this course for Departmental or Organizational course sites.
Goals
- Create a discussion forum.
- Learn how to encourage your student's use of your discussion forums.
- Become familiar with sending and receiving files with your digital drop box.
- Use the Collaboration Tools.
- Learn how to use Blackboard's send e-mail feature.
