Zachary Bryant earned his D.M.A. in Voice Performance from University of Maryland, M.M. in Voice Performance & Pedagogy from University of Colorado Boulder and B.A. in Voice Performance from Columbus State University. At SHSU, Zachary teaches Musical Theatre Applied Voice. Zachary is an energetic and dedicated performer and voice instructor with more than a decade of experience with regional opera companies, summer festivals and institutes of higher education. Select credits include Kiss Me, Kate, The Light in the Piazza, Roméo et Juliette (Central City Opera); Yours Forever, Lincoln (Quarry Theatre); The New Moon (Victorian Lyric Opera Company); La traviata, Il barbiere di Siviglia (Opera Baltimore & Opera Delaware); The Pirates of Penzance, Utopia Ltd (BaltiQWERT); La cambiale di matrimonio (Towson Opera); Le nozze di Figaro (Prague Summer Nights Festival); West Side Story, Sweeney Todd (CU Eklund Opera); H.M.S. Pinafore, The Sorcerer, Trial by Jury (Houston Gilbert & Sullivan Society). Zachary has also taught at Dickinson College, University of Maryland, University of Colorado Boulder, Alley Theatre, Katy Independent School District and Memorial School of Music.
