Sam Houston State University's Department of Library Science Certificate Programs focus on best practices in the field and are designed to provide skills in school librarianship. 

Professional Development Certificate Programs vary in length. The certificate courses are offered in a totally online format, which can also include some videoconferencing, Skype contact, webinars and other interactive features. Upon completion of coursework, participants will receive certificates and a letter signifying that they have successfully completed the requirements for the course.
