Keynote Speaker: Dr. Anne Simpson, is a professor in the Department of Reading and directs the university Reading Recovery training center at Texas Woman's University.  She co-authored A Site Coordinator’s Guide to the Effective Implementation of Reading, and served as the editor of the research strand for The Journal of Reading Recovery.  She is active in the Literacy Research Association and International Literacy Association. 

Featured Speaker: Dr. Mary Petron is an Associate Professor of Bilingual/ESL in the Department of Language, Literacy, and Special Populations at Sam Houston State University. Her research interests include ESL teacher education, U.S.-Mexico transnationalism, and context-specific language education.
