Robert F. Rangel

Robert RangelAfter graduating from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, Robert F. Rangel attending several institutions of high learning, including Lee College and Sam Houston State University, resulting in a Rangel earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, as well as Texas A & M at College Station and Texas A & M at Commerce, resulting in Rangel earning a Master of Education degree. Additionally, Rangel has State of Texas Professional Certifications in Spanish, Biology, Secondary Education, and Educational Administration.

Rangel values civic engagement, and has always been an active member of his community. Rangel is associated with several fraternities: Alpha Phi Omega, Circle K, Phi Delta Kappa, and Rho Epsilon Beta. Additionally, Rangel is a past member of the Lion’s Club, past President of the Mesquite ISD Education Association, past 1st Vice-President of the Central Texas Area Museum, past President of the Community Assistance Program, and past Board Member of Service, Education, Rehabilitation (SER) of Dallas County.

Today, Rangel is retired after thirty-six years of service as a public school teacher/coach, principal, and central administrator. Rangel maintains membership in several organizations, including the SHSU College of Humanities and Social Sciences Alumni Advisory Board, the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association, the Texas State Teachers’ Association, and the Master Masons. Rangel is married to his sweetheart, Beth; together the couple has one daughter and one grandson.
