Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Program Overview

The demand for skilled nurses is greater than ever. Our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program prepares students to enter the fast-growing health care field through coursework that is both theoretical and practical in a wide variety of clinical settings. Graduates of the program are prepared to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN provides the professional credentials to practice as an entry-level registered nurse.

The SHSU School of Nursing has merged its program from two campus to one at SHSU-The Woodlands Center (TWC).  Students will notice the increased study space, spacious and updated classrooms, and puts the program in close proximity of five major healthcare systems. Students accepted into the School of Nursing will attend SHSU-The Woodlands Center for all lab and classroom courses. Only pre-nursing classes will be held on SHSU Main Campus in Huntsville, Texas.
