    Liette Ocker

    Liette Ocker, associate professor and chair of the kinesiology department, has been instrumental in establishing the first university-hosted professional training camp in North America at Sam Houston State University, where professional triathletes and coaches will converge in one location to train under punishing conditions.

    Ocker completed the IRONMAN North America Championship Texas in 2015.

    Three SHSU Students Earn JAMP Resources

    Through the financial and academic guidance of the Joint Admissions Medical Program, Hamza Uddin and Cresencio Adame IV have secured seats in one of the nine medical schools in Texas. Samson Ndukwe has been selected as an alternate for the program.

    Annlyn Whaley '14

    After graduation, Annlyn Whaley, who holds a bachelor of arts degree in food service management from SHSU, spent 10 months working for Aramark as a food service manager through Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L). Today, she's serving the campus at Old Main Market as a food service production manager.
