Faculty members from across the university are actively engaged in health sciences research, ranging from laboratory-based studies in the Department of Chemistry to field based studies in the Department of Sociology.  Links to faculty members conducting research are provided below.

  • Dr. Anne Gaillard, Department of Biological Science, (argaillard@shsu.edu)
    Research interests: studies of how motility is regulated in eukaryotic cilia and flagella with potential applications to better understanding human diseases.

    Research interests: healthcare disparities research, quality of life among Asian cancer survivors, and cultural aspects of health-seeking behaviors.

    Research interests: health and health care issues of underserved and unprivileged populations, such as children, women, the elderly, the poor, ethnic minorities and immigrants, and those who live in developing countries.
