The DPD program follows the SHSU Academic Calendar.

  • The DPD program requires students to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 prior to declaring an FSN major and submitting a degree plan.
  • Upon completion of the B.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition (Didactic Program in Dietetics) and minimum 3.0 GPA, graduates will receive a verification statement indicating eligibility to apply for a dietetic internship.
