Scholarship Information

Each year the College of Education awards a number of scholarship opportunities up to $4,000 to qualified students in educator preparation programs. Scholarships are available to both entering freshmen and student in advanced courses. These scholarships are awarded each Spring for the following academic year.

Determine which scholarships you wish to seek by carefully reading over the available scholarships list.

Special Grants

In order to address the growing need for more qualified teachers, the State of Texas has created a program that covers tuition and some fees for education aides who enroll to become certified Texas teachers. For more information on these special grants we encourage you to read over the Educational Aide Exemption outline available at CollegeForAllTexans.com.

Teach Grant

Teach Grant programs offer $4,000 per year for students majoring in high need areas. To qualify you must serve as a full-time teacher for at least 4 academic years at a low-income school.
