Attend Orientation

All future teachers must attend the New Teacher Orientation. The orientation will take place March and October at all campus locations. Each orientation session includes vital information regarding: entry into the program, field experience requirements, certification and testing, and all educational blocks.

Testing and Certification

Classroom Teacher

  • Take the Representative TExES (Practice Test) if required.
  • Create Texas Education Agency Login account (TEAL).
  • Pass the required TExES tests.
    • Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR).
    • Content/Certification Area.
  • Graduate!
  • Apply for your Standard Teacher Certification at the Texas Education Agency (TEAL).
