    Early Childhood - 6th Grade Certifications

    • B.S. and EC-6 Generalist Certification
    • B.S. or B.A. and EC-6 Bilingual Generalist Certification
    • B.S. and EC-6 Generalist and EC-12 Special Education Certifications

    Middle Level Education - 4th - 8th Grade Certifications

    • B.S. and 4-8 English Language Arts-Reading/Social Studies Certification
    • B.S. and 4-8 Mathematics/Science Certification
    • B.S. and 4-8 Mathematics Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree - Early Childhood Education

    Interdisciplinary Studies Major with Early Childhood Education minor.
    This program does not lead to teacher certification.

  • Bachelor's Degrees - Secondary Education Minor

    Teacher candidates should choose a major to serve as a teaching content area and a minor in secondary education that includes 24 semester hours including six hours of student teaching.

    Teacher candidates should complete a majority of their content area courses before beginning certification course work. Students seeking secondary education certification are encouraged to contact the department of Curriculum and Instruction at 936-294-3896.
