Two Open Rank Tenure Track Professors
The Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at Sam Houston State University is seeking candidates for two tenure-track positions to begin Fall 2018; both positions are open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full professor level). The successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field by August 1, 2018 and have a strong interest in criminal justice and criminological research. We are especially interested in applications from scholars engaged in rigorous research on 1) evidence-based practices and translational social science; 2) legal topics; and 3) victim studies. The successful candidates will have an active research agenda including strong publication record, potential for (or record of) externally funded research, and a commitment to quality teaching and mentoring of students. Salary is competitive with other research-oriented, doctoral programs.
