How to Register

First Step in Registering

1. To begin, go to flexreg.shsu.edu

2. Click on the magnifying glass; this allows you to see the courses.

Important!

There is a 2.75% non-refundable credit card convenience fee. If you pay with an electronic check you will not be charged this fee. Do NOT use a prepaid debit card. If this is your form of payment, contact the banking institution for a routing and account number and pay by electronic check.

STOP If you are not wanting to pay for your course(s) today, please do not add it to the scheduler. Once you are ready to pay for your course(s) please proceed with these registration instructions.


Build Your Schedule

3. Hover the mouse over the course you wish to register for.
a. Click the magnifying glass to see course details.
b. Click “+” to register. 

Important Note:
If you are unable to see any classes listed try clearing your browser’s cache. How to Clear Your Browser's Cache

 

4. Once you have added the course to the Schedule Builder it will appear like this. You can continue to add more courses if needed.

5. Click “Register” to move to the next step or click “Save” to save the Schedule Builder and return later.

Important Note:
 You have not successfully registered for the course until you click “Register” and have paid.


Create An Account

6. If you are not a current SHSU student, faculty/staff, alumni, or former admissions applicant you will need to “Create New Account”. Follow the on screen instructions to do so.

Current or former SHSU students, faculty/staff, alumni, or former admissions applicant use your SHSU Username and Password. The login credentials you use to access on campus computers and SHSU email. If you cannot remember your login credentials or need to reset your password please contact the IT@Sam Helpdesk at 936-294-1950.

7. If creating a new account, fill out as much information as you can and click submit.

 

8. Write down your Login ID and password. It will be a series of letters and numbers you will need if you return to register for other classes or look up receipts.

9. You can click “Continue” to pay.

 

REMINDER!

Registration Results

1. You have arrived at “Registration Results” and the screen should appear similar to this example. Click “Continue” to proceed to the payment process.

Payment

2. Select “Credit Card, Debit Card, ACH” and click “Continue” in the bottom right corner of the screen.

3. Please read the statement about payments and when ready click “Submit Payment”.

An external website will open, if you have pop-up blockers enabled this screen may not appear. You must turn off the pop-up blocker. How to Disable Popup Blockers

4. You have arrived at the payment website, the screen should appear similar to this example.

5. Please select the payment method you desire and continue with the on screen instructions.
