Undergraduate Seminar in Speech Communication
Advanced students pursue individualized research topics under the direction of a professor. The purpose of this course is to allow highly qualified students to investigate areas of the field not covered in current course offerings. An example of this might be directed reading in political communication. Students meet regularly with their professors for direction and evaluation. Occasionally, this course is offered as a one-time traditional class to pursue a special topic of interest to a group of students. An example might be a single course in contemporary British speakers. Students arrange individual work with a professor on a mutual agreement basis and must have permission to enroll in SCM 491.
